How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us.

This policy explains what personal information Hunt Education Overseas collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the counselling and application-support services we provide.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — name, phone number, email address, destination and service interest, academic and professional background, and anything else you include in an enquiry, booking or form.
- Application documents — where you engage us for a service, the documents needed for that application, such as transcripts, test scores, financial evidence and passport details.
- Technical information — pages visited, approximate location and device type, collected through analytics if you consent to it.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and deliver the service you asked for.
- To submit applications on your behalf to institutions, and to insurers, lenders or authorities where you have instructed us to.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders and service updates.
- To improve the website and understand which content is useful.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where it is needed to deliver what you asked for: with the universities and institutions you apply to; with institutional or technology partners used to submit applications; with insurers, lenders or test providers where you have asked us to arrange something; and with service providers who host our website, run our booking system or process payments. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Travel visa documents shared through WhatsApp
After reviewing your enquiry, Hunt may ask you to send the documents needed for your case through our designated WhatsApp contact. Only send documents after receiving our request and confirming the contact using this website. Please do not send passport copies or financial documents through the website enquiry form or a group chat.
We use these documents to provide the assistance you request and share them with the relevant authority or service provider only where needed and authorised. WhatsApp is a third-party service and its own privacy terms also apply. Sharing documents does not guarantee a visa or faster government processing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where you become a client, we keep your file for as long as required to deliver the service and to meet any legal or accounting obligation, and then delete it.
Travel visa supporting documents
- Visa issued and delivered: we delete our copies of supporting documents within 7 days after you confirm receipt of the visa we send you.
- Refused, cancelled or inactive case: we delete our copies of supporting documents within 30 days after the case is closed. We notify you when we close your case, including when it is closed due to inactivity.
These periods apply to copies under Hunt’s control, including WhatsApp attachments, downloaded files, linked devices and backups that we control. Hunt must carry out and check this deletion; it is not triggered automatically by this website. The policy does not delete copies held independently by you, WhatsApp, government authorities or other recipients, which are subject to their own retention arrangements.
Invoices, payment records and minimum service records are handled separately where needed for legal or accounting obligations; this does not mean keeping the entire document pack. If a specific legal obligation or legal claim requires particular documents to be kept longer, we restrict access, keep only what is necessary and delete it once that need ends.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email us and we will action the request. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we have already done lawfully.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies only where analytics is enabled, to understand how the site is used. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of the site.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents over unsecured channels — ask us for a secure method instead.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

Academy currency preferences
The Academy page uses ipapi to suggest a currency from your approximate IP-based country, and Frankfurter to retrieve reference exchange rates. These services receive your IP address when your browser connects to them. Precise GPS location is not requested. A currency you choose is saved in your browser for future visits; if a saved choice is available, the country lookup is skipped.
